The Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement on Wednesday said that the government of Bangladesh “unequivocally condemns” Israeli air strikes in Qatar on Tuesday, reports the Daily Sun.

The statement reads, “Dhaka stands in solidarity with the Qatar government and its people in the wake of the violation of the country’s sovereignty.”

Israel’s unprovoked act of aggression against Qatar was also a clear violation of international laws and the UN Charter.

The illegal attack is another proof that Israel consistently disregards regional stability across Middle East, and international norms.

The government calls on the international community, the UN and other concerned parties to hold the perpetrators accountable, and take steps to ensure that everyone respects international laws, as per the foreign ministry statement.

Israeli fighter jets struck Qatar on Tuesday, as part of what the Zionist regime called efforts to "hunt down Hamas members," leaving at least six people dead.
