Students excited getting new books

The National Textbook Festival is being celebrating at all primary and secondary level educational institutions on Monday across the country.

Students are excited getting new books on the first day of the year.

The programme started officially at 10am.

The students of primary-level and VI and VII classes are getting all the books on their hands on the first day. But 8th and ninth graders are returning homes with gloomy minds as they got few books.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Ministry Md Zakir Hossain attended the book distribution function as the chief guest at the National Govt Primary School in Mirpur.

The book distribution programme will on till afternoon.

Rangamati: Rangamati deputy commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan inaugurated the festival to students of minority groups including primary and secondary level students at Amanatbagh Government Primary School at 9 am and Rangamati Government High School at 10 am.


Feni: Deputy Commissioner Mst Shahina Akter inaugurated the book distribution festival at Feni Shishu Niketan Collectorate School at 10 am.

Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Momena Akter, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ICT and Education) Fahmida Haque, District Education Officer Shafi Ullah were present at that time.

Bogura: A total of 56,01,203 books will be distributed among 9,36,998 students at primary and secondary level in Bogura. Out of this, 20,70,000 books are being distributed among 4,77,247 students in 2495 educational institutions.

The book festival was inaugurated at Bogura Biam Model School and College on Monday. Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir and Bogura Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam inaugurated the book festival at 11 am.

At that time, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Al Maruf, District Education Officer Hazrat Ali, Biam Model School and College Principal Mustafizur Rahman were present, among others
