A group of GED students from Mentors’ Kalabagan and Banani branches visited the UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus in Banani, Dhaka, today, November 11th. The group included 48 students along with 03 teachers. They were warmly welcomed by student representatives and admissions officers at the university campus.
During the visit, faculty members and the provost addressed the students in the university hall room. The provost also shared a presentation about UCSI University and answered the students’ questions.
Provost Mr. Chan Joe Jim highlighted that UCSI University is ranked as the top private university in Malaysia and has maintained a position within the top 1% worldwide in the 2026 QS World University Rankings. It is ranked 30th in Asia and 8th in South Asia. UCSI is the first foreign university campus in Bangladesh approved by the Governments of both Bangladesh and Malaysia, and it follows an international-standard curriculum.
Dean and Professor of the Faculty of Computer Science and Digital Innovation (FCSDI) Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain explained that UCSI Bangladesh Campus is a highly attractive destination for new students. The university offers wonderful opportunities for students to earn quality foreign degrees while staying with their parents and family members, without expenses in foreign currency. Scholarships are available ranging from 20% to 100%, and this year, the university announced a mega scholarship program worth 3 crore Taka.
After the presentations, the students toured the campus, exploring classrooms, labs, and the faculty and student lounge, as well as other facilities.
