Kurigram celebrated Nabanna Utsav-1432 through paddy harvesting, farmers' feast, discussion meetings and cultural programs.

On Sunday (November 16), a day-long Nabanna Utsav program was organized by the "Rastra Sanskar Krishak Andolan" Kurigram district branch on the east side of Dharla Bridge.

Before the program, at 10 am, the workers of the "Rastra Sanskar Krishak Andolan" Kurigram district branch started the Nabanna Utsav activities by harvesting ripe Aman paddy from local farmer Saifur.

After this, in the afternoon, to cherish the tradition, farmers were fed khichuri on banana leaves. Later in the afternoon, after the discussion meeting, the Nabanna Utsav-1432 was declared over through a cultural program.

Speaking at the event, Ariful Islam Jewel, Organizing Secretary of the Central Committee of the National Reformation Farmers' Movement, Kurigram District Branch Member Secretary Md. Rezaul Karim, Finance Coordinator Rafiqul Islam and other leaders of the Union Committee spoke.

Ariful Islam Jewel, Organizing Secretary of the Central Committee of the National Reformation Farmers' Movement, said that the tradition of the Bengali and Bengali nation is the Nabanna festival. Through this festival, we nurture and hold the roots in our hearts.

He also said that through this festival, we have united the neglected farmers. We want a fair price for Aman rice to be determined. So that farmers do not suffer losses while cultivating it. For this, next Friday, we will organize a human chain at Shapla Square through the Kurigram branch of the National Reformation Farmers' Movement.
