Iran is engulfed in anti-government protests that have now spread across much of the country. Human rights organizations report that at least 65 people have been killed nationwide as of Friday. However, according to Time magazine citing local sources, more than 200 people may have died in Tehran alone due to the authorities’ crackdown.

Amid the ongoing unrest, violent suppression, and widespread communication disruptions, numerous international flights to various Iranian cities have been cancelled.

On Saturday, airlines including Lufthansa, flydubai, Turkish Airlines, AJet, Pegasus Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Austrian Airlines suspended their flights to Iran.

According to Dubai Airports’ website, flydubai cancelled at least 17 flights to Tehran, Shiraz, Bandar Abbas, and Mashhad. A spokesperson confirmed the cancellations, stating that the situation is being closely monitored and flight schedules will be adjusted if necessary. Affected passengers are being contacted directly.
