Sudden death of a railway director in Dhaka

A train director died after suffering a heart attack while on duty at a running room in Dhaka. He had arrived in Dhaka yesterday after operating the Kurigram Express train. This morning, he was scheduled to depart for Lalmonirhat with the Burimari Express.

According to railway sources, at around 4:00 a.m. today he suddenly began experiencing severe chest pain and physical discomfort. Fellow train directors who were present immediately took him to a nearby medical center. After examination, the attending physician declared him dead.

The deceased train director hailed from Raninagar upazila of Naogaon district. He was posted at the headquarters of the Lalmonirhat Railway Division.

His sudden death has cast a pall of deep grief over the railway department. Colleagues and officials have prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
