Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami officially launched its election campaign with a multimedia campaign bus in Mirpur-10 on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The bus was inaugurated by the party’s Amir, Dr. Shafiqul Rahman.

Following the inauguration, members of the nationalist party criticized the bus on social media. Campaign team organizer Abdur Rahman clarified that the bus will be used solely for campaign activities and not for the Amir’s personal travel.

He added that the bus had been planned in November to align with the party’s election branding colors, which have been in use since the start of the campaign. “We did not copy anyone; rather, others copied our election branding,” he said. This statement emphasizes the party’s transparency and organized approach in conducting election activities.
