IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini said that if Trump truly believes Iran’s navy has been eliminated, he should “send his ships to the Persian Gulf if he has the courage.”
According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, Naeini stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains fully under Iranian control and warned that any act of aggression would be met with a decisive response.
Trump had earlier claimed that Iran’s naval forces had been destroyed during recent military confrontations.
Responding to that statement, Naeini said Iran’s military power remains intact and capable of defending its territorial waters.
He also claimed that since the start of the conflict, Iran has launched around 700 missiles and 3,600 drones targeting what he described as “American and Zionist positions.”
The IRGC spokesperson warned that Iran still possesses more powerful weapons that have not yet been used.
He added that if attacks against Iran continue, those capabilities could be deployed, potentially escalating the conflict further in the region.
