From Monday night through early Tuesday morning, trains departed fully packed with passengers heading to different parts of the country. Despite the heavy rush, no delays were reported, bringing relief to travelers.

The day’s first train, Dhumketu Express bound for Rajshahi, departed at 6:00 am. It was followed by several intercity services, including Nilnagar, Sundarban, Egaro Sindur Probhaty, and Teesta Express, all leaving on schedule.

Passengers expressed satisfaction over the disciplined management at the station. Strict ticket checking measures prevented unauthorized entry onto platforms, helping maintain order despite the crowd.

Railway authorities introduced a three-tier security and ticket verification system to ensure smooth travel. Only passengers with valid tickets were allowed inside, while a limited number of standing tickets were issued when necessary.

Officials believe passenger pressure will continue to rise until the day before Eid, as millions leave Dhaka to celebrate the festival with their families.

Meanwhile, preparations for the main Eid congregation in the capital have also been completed, with authorities expecting a large turnout of worshippers.
