MASTUL Foundation Leads ‘From Vulnerability to Possibility’ Roundtable to Unite Corporate Leadership for Sustainable Impact

On 25 April 2026, an important leadership roundtable titled “From Vulnerability to Possibility—Together” was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event brought together corporate leaders, social organizations, government officials, and representatives from the development sector.

The discussion focused on poverty alleviation in Bangladesh and explored ways to build a sustainable and opportunity-driven future for underprivileged and vulnerable communities. Participants emphasized the importance of coordinated and long-term collaborative initiatives to ensure meaningful development.

The main objective of the conference was to highlight the role of corporate leadership in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly poverty eradication, zero hunger, quality education, sustainable cities and communities, and strong partnerships. Key focus areas included skill development, quality education, safe housing, and long-term empowerment.

The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Mohammad Zakaria, Director General (DG) of the NGO Affairs Bureau. Special Guests included Dr. Md. Sanowar Jahan Bhuiyan, Secretary of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Ministry, and Major Syauras. Representatives from leading corporate organizations also participated, including Bank Asia, Pacific Jeans, Accent International, Barikoi, South East Holding, Akij Motors, Lead Architect, SMS Group, Masco Group, Matador Group, Padma Group, and R&G Consulting. Celebrity Tamim Mridha and others were also present.

In his keynote speech, Dr. Mohammad Zakaria praised Mastul Foundation’s zakat- and sadaqah-based poverty alleviation initiatives. He stated that the organization has long been working to improve the lives of underprivileged communities, especially highlighting its efforts in empowering women as exemplary. He also urged corporate and NGO sectors to join Mastul Foundation’s humanitarian initiatives for broader national development.

Corporate leaders emphasized that sustainable change cannot be achieved through charity alone, but requires structured and strategic partnerships. Participants stressed the need to redefine “how we work together”, highlighting stronger collaboration between corporate institutions and social initiatives.
They further emphasized creating a continuous support system—from shelter to education and ultimately employment—ensuring a complete pathway for underprivileged children. The discussions also highlighted “connecting shelter to career” and “creating real opportunities”, stressing that access to education, skill development, and employment is essential for long-term solutions.

Speakers also noted that sustainable transformation requires innovative and inclusive approaches beyond traditional thinking.The event marked a significant step toward a new vision, reaffirming a collective commitment to unlocking opportunities and building a better future for underprivileged children and vulnerable communities through joint action.
