Ctg lawyer killing: Father files case against 31

The family of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif has filed a case regarding his murder, allegedly carried out by supporters of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sammilito Sanatani Jagaran Jote.

Saiful’s father, Jamal Uddin, submitted a written complaint to the Kotwali Police Station in Chattogram on Friday night.

The case was officially recorded early Saturday morning. A total of 31 individuals were named in the complaint, with an additional 10 to 15 unidentified individuals listed as accused.

Kazi Md. Tarek Aziz, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Public Relations) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), confirmed the matter.

Notably, Saiful was killed during clashes between police and followers of Chinmoy Krishna in the Chattogram Court Building area on November 26.
