The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has submitted allegations to the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) regarding the abduction and murder of 2,276 activists from the BNP and its affiliated organizations.

On Thursday, January 9, BNP representatives formally complained to the tribunal's Chief Prosecutor's Office.

Md Salahuddin, a central committee member of the BNP and coordinator for cases related to abduction, murder, and legal issues, led the filing.

Speaking to reporters, Salahuddin stated, "Between 2008 and August 5, 2024, a total of 2,276 activists, including Ilias Ali, were abducted or murdered. Today, we have officially presented these allegations on behalf of the BNP to the International Crimes Tribunal."
