Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has stated that the world has seen the people of Bangladesh united against oppression and corruption.

He said this in a speech given on Thursday (March 27) morning at the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference in China.

Dr. Yunus said that there are some challenges to be faced in building a new Bangladesh. We must work together for the repatriation of the Rohingyas.

Highlighting the global damage caused by the adverse effects of climate change, he said that grant-based financing is needed to address this impact of climate change.

Dr. Yunus arrived in China on Wednesday (March 26) for a four-day official visit. During this visit, in addition to the Boao Forum, he will hold meetings with the chief executive officers (CEOs) of world-renowned and major Chinese companies.

Furthermore, the first bilateral meeting between Muhammad Yunus and Chinese President Xi Jinping will be held in Beijing. Bilateral issues of mutual interest will be discussed at the meeting.

The Chief Advisor is scheduled to return to the country on March 29.
