Zubaida Rahman registered as Gulshan voter, gets smart card

Zubaida Rahman, wife of BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman, has been registered as a voter and received her smart card, according to Election Commission (EC).

EC officials said that her information was collected during the ongoing house-to-house voter list update.

However, the registration process is completed, but Zubaida’s name will appear on the voter list after update ends, said EC officials.

Zubaida Rahman will be registered as a voter in Ward 19 of Dhaka North City Corporation, at her residence on Gulshan Avenue, house number 196. Though her permanent address is in Dhanmondi, she is being registered at the Gulshan-2 address.
