Sarah Cooke, the British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, has expressed concern and sympathy following the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training jet in Uttara, Dhaka.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Cook said: “Concerned and saddened by reports of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash in Dhaka. Our thoughts are with those affected and with the emergency services responding."

The incident occurred earlier in the day when an F-7 BGI jet belonging to the Bangladesh Air Force crashed near the Milestone School and College campus in the capital's northern suburb of Diabari, Uttara.
