2,946 arrested in 48-hour nationwide police crackdown

As part of an ongoing nationwide crackdown on criminals, police have arrested 2,946 individuals over the past 48 hours, according to the Police Headquarters.

Of those detained, 1,827 were arrested in connection with previous cases and pending warrants, while the remaining 1,119 were held on various criminal charges.

During the operation, law enforcers also recovered one locally made revolver, three single-barrel guns, seven rounds of cartridges, one local LG (light gun), and several sharp weapons.
