PHQ alerts all over AI-generated fake video statement of IGP

The Police Headquarters has alerted all that an artificial intelligence (AI) generated fake video statement using the still image and voice cloning of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has recently been circulated on social media, reports BSS.

"Such activities are punishable under the existing laws," said a statement of the Police Headquarters issued on Tuesday.

The statement said the process has already started to identify those involved in circulating such video.

"Necessary legal action against the responsible individuals will be taken,"" it added.
